For Sale: Lyon and Healy Salzedo #8691, Natural, 47 strings. Built 1982. This harp has a lovely warm sound throughout with very good projection, typical of the older Salzedos. It is in near perfect cosmetic condition, very well cared for and it shows beautifully with a rich honey color. The harp was played professionally for many years but has not been used for the past 20 years. No structural problems with body, base frame, center strip and board - they are all in excellent condition. The neck has some twist and the rivets are clicking. It will need a re-rivet at some point and possibly a new neck at the same time. These costs have been factored into the asking price. (A re-rivet = $4500, and neck + re-rivet is $10,500 at Lyon and Healy Harps in Chicago.)
The harp has just received a thorough inspection, a complete restringing with Bow Brand strings, and a regulation by Karen Gottlieb. The harp is 'good to go' and comes with the original Lyon and Healy brown harp cover. Asking price: $15,000 Also available separately, L & H original wooden maple bench and music stand, as well as misc. harp items. Please contact the owner Julie Ambrose, 415-238-5047 or Harp is in San Mateo.

(A Style 19 is a semi-grand model with 46 strings, similar in size to a Style 17. 70", 70 lbs.) Asking $21,000 but willing to entertain other offers. Contact Joanne Addy at, 510-424-2570. For Sale: Lyon and Healy Style 22, Gold, #1831. Originally built in 1917, in excellent condition with no structural or mechanical problems. The harp was completely rebuilt and refurbished in 1997. It shows beautifully with no cosmetic scratches. The harp has NOT been played or moved since 1998. There has been virtually no 'wear and tear' on the instrument. The strings have been maintained regularly. The harp appears to have a very nice sound, especially in the middle and lower registers, and there is a large space in the top octaves for the hand, making it comfortable to play. To bring the harp into top playing condition, it needs partial restringing and a regulation. The harp has been appraised by Karen Gottlieb. It is located in San Francisco. Asking price is $27,000, and includes a blue 3-piece padded Lyon & Healy transport cover set. For details and a full appraisal, contact owner Rick Osmon, 415-420-4223,
